22 days before Christmas

My Grown Up Christmas List

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies

Well, I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here's my lifelong wish
My grown up christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
and wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up christmas list

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely
Wrapped beneath our tree

Well heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
A hurting human soul

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up christmas list

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth
(there'd be)

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, oh
This is my grown up christmas list
This is my only life long wish
This is my grown up christmas list

december 3, past 1am, i was driving home from our upper household (was trapped in a traffic jam in al wasl road for an hour- national day celebration kasi)...

22 days na lang pala bago ang special day...

during our household prayer meeting, i was lifting up those people who are having a hard time to feel the spirit of Christmas... people who are sick, far away from their family, financially struggling, heartbroken, in Kish island, terminated from their jobs and so on...we are overwhelmed by the thoughts of Christmas decors and gifts...and sometimes, forget the real meaning of the season--- That is to thank God for HIS GREAT LOVE by SENDING HIS ONLY SON to us... on this SPECIAL day.

at napaisip lang ako, this was the first Christmas song i heard played on the radio...

So here's my lifelong wish
My grown up christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

Lord, teach us to pray for the world...for ur people.
