my birthday message for ME

May your coming year be filled with love, joy and faith. I pray this year you’ll finish reading a single book, travel as much as you want and have time to do the laundry one Saturday morning, and don’t forget to make some art — write straight Tagalog or draw yourself while looking at the mirror or finish your scrapbook or sing in public or dance as if no one is watching or live as only you can. And I pray, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
