Guard your Heart

This is a 'counselling' session among three girl friends… about guarding hearts and friendship!

GIRL: kung friendship man ang ino-offer nya, eh bakit ayaw nya akong makilala... he does not even ask how I am, how my family is doing - alam ba nya kung ilang kaming magkakapatid? nasan sila,..or about my job - what sort of job do i do? ok ba ang boss ko, what about my hobbies, my dreams...

Her: there many topics to discuss. this is the best time to ask these questions... yung getting to know stage... if you are really interested in the person - as a friend or even more than that - dapat may element of curiosity d ba?

GIRL: basta ang alam ko, d ako interesado ngayon sa pagpapa-cute... matanda na tayo para dun, sana lang may laman at lalim kung mag usap...

Me: He is offering friendship…both of you should enjoy the getting to know stage of your relationship…

May makikita kang off about him…may makikita kang cute and many things to appreciate him along the way…and vice versa…

We can accept or refuse the friendship…

Her: accept or refuse

do not gauge him as how u perceive a potential lovelife

check as well if you are offering/expecting/giving genuine and pure friendship

otherwise don't worry too much about him

Me: Girl, don’t make it hard for yourself…

Her: bow! if wala pong kilig/lalim...wala

don't be hard on him as well

he's trying to be himself/he is being himself

and in friendship he should be appreciated whoever/whatever he is

and baka sya yung tipo ng tao na lumalalim lang kapag tumatagal mo pang nakikilala

Me: But always remember wala tayong puedeng panghawakan kungdi ang friendship…

Her: life being unfair? (me being bitter hehe!)

Me: Enjoy every moment… (of the friendship)

Still have fun knowing him more…

Her: need i say be cautious po?

you know as well for yourself if for you you can just really accept his gestures as friendship-nothing more, nothing less

and if these actions are causing u to think more than that

it is up to you once again to continue or pause

Guard our heart.

Is there such a thing?

Once one’s smile or voice makes your heart leap

And the tiny little window of spark opens

And the universe conspired for more smiles and more leaps of heart

Can we really ever guard our heart?
