DUBAI — The One: Total Home Experience has been awarded 'Recommended Employer of the Year' by IIR Middle East, a regional event organiser, while its CEO Thomas Lundgren was adjudged 'Entrepreneur of the Year.'
"These awards are the biggest wins for The One, ever!" said Lundgren during the awards night on Sunday, noting that this was the first time that his company competed in the broader Middle East business sector. Part of the ongoing Leaders in Dubai Business Forum, the Middle East Business Achievement Awards Gala Dinner was attended by business players including international entrepreneurs. The One is one of UAE's shopping and entertainment centres.

Business excellence is alive and well in the Middle East if the results for the first annual IIR Middle East Business Achievement Awards, sponsored by ArabianBusiness.com, are anything to go by.
The winners and runners up were announced at a glittering gala dinner at The Monarch Dubai on Sunday and event director Alan Kelly says the number of entries (130 in total) in the Dubai Holding-partnered MEBA Awards and the quality of entries overall shows there is a lot to be proud of in the region.
"The awards were judged by an international panel of independent judges and they were unanimous in saying the overall standard of entries was very high.
"Rather than try and single out any particular winner for special mention, IIR and Dubai Holding would like to congratulate them all for their successes, but also commend all entrants for sharing their achievements with us.

Marketing Excellence Award: Winner - Dubai Duty Free
